About the event
This class, will cover what you need to know to volunteer for Equine Safe Haven and about SaddleHawk Ranch, which is home to the nonprofit animals. This class will run concurrently with the beginner class. Many of the basics of volunteering will be covered in the beginner class, so signing up for either is fine.
Equine Safe Haven has 9 horses and 11 donkeys that are dedicated to the nonprofit. You will be volunteering to help feed and maintain these animals. SaddleHawk Ranch is a private Ranch with it's own horses, mules and donkeys, and having consistent volunteers to help with Equine Safe Havens horses and donkeys, makes it easier for the Ranch to provide for the non profit animals.
You will learn about feeding, watering, blanketing, first aid, signs of health concerns etc. Bring your questions! We will supply bottled water.
In order to volunteer you must be age…
