About the event
In this first part of the Beginner Horsemanship series, you will learn basics of Equines: Â Parts of the horse, Equine first aid, and how to idenfy common ailments and what to do. Â How to properly groom and use the grooming tools including picking the hooves. Â Basics of what to feed your horse and what not to. Â Safety lesson with handling your horse. Â This is a discussion and hands on class. Â You will be able to demonstrate what you have learned using our horses. Â This class is great for those that have never touched a horse, mule or donkey, and for those that are considering getting a horse or working with a horse. Â This class is for ages 16 and up. Â 16 & 17 year olds will need a waiver from a parent or guardian to participate. Â Class will start promptly at 10am and end at 12pm. Â
