About the event
Part 2 of Basic Horsemanship: This class is taught by Katrina Lomax, who has over 30 years of experience with all kinds of horses and disciplines. This class is for beginners and great for those that have never touched a horse. If you have fear of horses or are a little rusty handling them, this class will build your confidence. We go over haltering, walking, grooming, and safety. This is a ground class, in person, and no riding is involved. Class is for those over 16 years old. This class ground exercises and is a hands on class. You should be able to halter the horse, groom, walk the horse, understand commands, and intro to the round pen. Students participate at their own pace. This class is $40.
Water is provided, please bring snacks if needed. There is a restroom onsite, however it is not ADA compliant.
