About the event
In this first part of the Beginner Horsemanship series, you will learn basics of Equines: Parts of the horse, Equine first aid, and how to idenfy common ailments and what to do. How to properly groom and use the grooming tools including picking the hooves. Basics of what to feed your horse and what not to. Safety lesson with handling your horse. This is a discussion and hands on class. You will be able to demonstrate what you have learned using our horses. This class is great for those that have never touched a horse, mule or donkey, and for those that are considering getting a horse or working with a horse. This class is for ages 16 and up. 16 & 17 year olds will need a waiver from a parent or guardian to participate. $40 payment is due in advance of the clinic, or your spot will be canceled. Payment link will be sent when you RSVP. Payment must be made by June 3rd to secure your RSVP spot. Cancelations will be accepted up to Wednes June 7th for a refund. Any no shows, payment will be donated to non profit Equine Safe Haven.
